Firming agent based on a biopeptide containing "The Spring Fragment" of elastin; helps to reconstruct the dermis and increase skin firmness.

Like the other products of the Amphiphillic Biopeptide range Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, PEG-8, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide is supplied in the form of a fluid gel(without any preservatives) containing 100mg of Palmitoyl-Valyl-Glycyl-Valyl-Valyl-Alanyl-Propyl-Glycine.

Aging of the skin results from two main factors: genetic programming and permanent actinic damage due to environmental stress(UV, detergents, mechanical shocks) These factors contribute through chemical (free radicals) and biochemical(proteolytic enzymes such as collagenase and elastase)processes to the degradation of the connective tissue, the slackening of the elastic fibres, the development of wrinkles and the decrease of the suppleness and firmness of the skin.

Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, PEG-8, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide a natural fragment of elastin, characteristic of the repeated "spring structure" found in this protein, also has a directional chemotactic activity in tissue restructuring and repair. This contributes to fight premature ageing and maintain the skin's resistance and integrity.

Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, PEG-8, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide is also recommended for use in active products designed to stimulate macromolecules, such as anti-ageing and restructuring products, and hand creams.
